NHL News: Bjork, Yamamoto, Lee on Tavares and Barkov on Jagr

Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe: Anders Bjork signed his entry-level contract with the Bruins in the spring after finishing his Junior year at college. He was told that there were positions open on the NHL roster that helped with his decision to leave school early.

“That was definitely a factor,” recalled Bjork, the former Notre Dame standout, noting why he chose to eschew his senior year with the Fighting Irish. “[General manager] Don Sweeney told me there is good opportunity here, especially for wingers. That’s exciting for me.”

Three positions on the left side are open with Matt Beleskey, Peter Cehlarik, Anton Blidh, Jake DeBrusk, Jesse Gabrielle and Kenny Agostino looking to make the team.
