It looks like the Edmonton Oilers are going to be without Nail Yakupov for a little bit. The winger suffered a sprained ankle in last night’s 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Yakupov’s injury came later in the game, when the linesman fell backward onto Yakupov’s leg off the face-off. Yakupov appeared to suffer an injury (earlier thought to be affecting the knee) and was unable to get off under his own power.
Yakupov will be out for 2-4 weeks with a sprained ankle. Besides that, let’s go over two things about this injury.
