As reported yesterday, the Edmonton Oilers were in works with the St. Louis Blues, a deal that would include Anders Nilsson, who was supposed to start yesterday but was then taken back as a back-up. This morning, the Oilers traded Nilsson to the Blues in exchange for Niklas Lundstrom and a 2016 fifth-round pick.

Lundstrom, who played this season with the ECHL’s Elmira and St. Louis’s AHL affiliate Chicago Wolves, was 8-3-0 with a 2.92 GAA and .929 save mark with Elmira and was 1-1-0 with a 2.
