Edmonton Oilers Prospect Ethan Bear Dominating WHL

After drafting Connor McDavid first-overall just a year ago, the Edmonton Oilers thought that would probably be their best pick. However, they may have chosen another top prospect — in the fifth round of the draft. With the 124th pick, the Oilers selected Ethan Bear, and that may have just been a move that will surely help the Oilers sooner rather than later.

Bear has been incredible in his post-draft campaign. In the regular WHL season with the Seattle Thunderbirds, he racked up 64 points (19 goals, 45 assists). The right-handed defenseman not only dominated the regular season, but he has taken over the WHL playoffs.
