The Edmonton Oilers may lack depth on the right side, but an interesting addition that came in abut halfway through the Oilers 2015-16 campaign may be an asset when it comes to repairing this problem.
Zack Kassian had to enter rehabilitation and the NHL’s Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health program in October, after he was in a dangerous car accident while under the influence. This came after the Vancouver Canucks dealt him to the Montréal Canadiens in the 2015 offseason.
Since then, the former Canuck made a strong recovery, and when he was ready to re-enter the NHL, the Canadiens decided to pass on giving him a second chance and put him on waivers.
