Edmonton Oilers: Jujhar Khaira Brings Diversity to the NHL

A Sikh, Khaira grew up in Canada with a dream of playing in the NHL. Eventually, he made his way to the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, where the Oilers took him in the third round, 63rd overall. From there, he’s been playing excellent hockey, and made it from juniors to the AHL level, where he has thrived as one of Bakersfield’s biggest assets. Now, he is a primary candidate for a call-up to the big club.

Standing at 6-foot-3, 214 pounds, Khaira’s size makes him a great forward on the rise. He has the ability to add physicality and depth to his two-way game but also possesses great speed and skill when it comes to crashing the net.
