From the moment Connor McDavid stepped foot on NHL ice, I thought he had surpassed all expectations. Finishing the season with 48 points in 45 games, despite a tragic clavicle injury that sidelined him for three months, and earning a Calder Trophy nomination, a EA Sports NHL cover nomination, high praise and utmost respect from his teammates and fellow NHLers, McDavid already has a lot to add to his resume.
Despite all of this already scribbled down in the books, McDavid continues to defy the record books and conquer more feats.

Though many are concerned that McDavid has yet to score a goal in this tournament, he is doing something much more important and suited to his role as a player: making plays and setting up goals.
