Oilers prospects take on police in charity softball game

EDMONTON - In between at-bats, Greg Chase stressed that there was much to be gleaned from the few hours the Edmonton Oilers prospects were able to spend with members of the Edmonton Police Service.

For the players who shucked their hockey gear and headed to Telus Field Sunday to take part in a team-organized charity softball game, it was not only a chance to shift focus from the club’s annual orientation camp, it was also a chance to reach out to the community. To show their support.

For the members of the EPS and their families, it was a welcome departure.
