OXFORD, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team qualified seven in the prelims session of the Mid-American Conference Championships Saturday, Feb. 25, in Oxford, Ohio.
Backstroke led the way for the Eagles for the second consecutive day, as the Green and White posted four top-12 ranked times. Freshman Claire Young (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.-Grosse Pointe South) paced the strong performance, turning in a fourth-ranked time of 1:57.64, while was also a career-best. Senior Alexis Mitcheltree (Moon Twp., Pa.-Moon Area) claimed the fifth-ranked time in prelims, touching in in 1:58.
