YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University soccer team pushed its win streak to three with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the University of Illinois-Chicago Sunday, Sept. 9, at Scicluna Field.
Redshirt junior Kristin Nason (Brooklin, Ontario-Donald A. Wilson) and sophomore Parys Kerr (Whitby, Ontario-Pickering) led the offensive charge, as EMU outshot UIC, 28-11. Eastern's 28 shots and 10 shots on goal were both season-highs. Nason's goal, her second of the season, broke the scoring open in the first half. Meanwhile, Kerr netted her first tally of the season late in the second half to secure the win.
