Records Continue to Fall at Loyola Intercollegiate

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University men's golf senior Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) powered the Eagles to a second-place team finish at the Loyola Intercollegiate today, Feb. 27, in Goodyear, Ariz. Rodes finished atop the podium, carding a three-round 13-under par to total a 203 (69-64-70), breaking the program record of 206, accomplished by Korey Mahoney in 2005.

The senior continued his strong play after posting a 69 and 64 in the opening two rounds, as Rodes finished with the best 54-hole mark in EMU history. Needing to card a 72-or-better, he did just that, posting a final round 70 to surpass the previous record of 206 (71-65-70).
