YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team opened the Mid-American Conference season with a thrilling 7-6 walk-off victory over Bowling Green State University in the home opener, Friday, March 24 at Oestrike Stadium. The Eagles came back from four runs down in the late innings, and won it on a walk-off single from freshman Nick Jones (Lakeview, Mich.-Battle Creek).
The EMU (5-15, 1-0 MAC) offense sprung for 12 hits in the contest, led by three-hit outing from freshman Zachary Owings (Saline, Mich.-Saline), including a double and RBI.
