Fourth quarter turn around push Eagles past Monmouth

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball continued its road game stretch with a 78-68 victory over the Monmouth Hawks in West Long Branch, N.J. on Thursday night.

Junior Cha Sweeney picked up right where she left off from her previous game, scoring a game-high 26 points, but it was junior Phillis Webb’s 20-point 11-rebound performance that helped seal the victory over the MAAC school.

The Eagles went into the locker room ahead of the Hawks 38-23 at the break. After the half, the Eagles went on a scoring drought for over two minutes, which allowed the Hawks to capture a 9-0 run in the third quarter.
