YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University softball team was stunned in a loss to Western Michigan University Friday, April 21, at Varsity Field. The Eagles (15-26, 3-13 MAC) led most of the way until a seventh inning RBI single by the Broncos (17-24, 5-11 MAC) sealed a 3-2 defeat.
Eastern Michigan's bat cranked out nine hits in the game, while Western also registered nine. Four multi-hit efforts paced the balanced offensive day for the Eagles. Senior Michelle Kriegshauser (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln Way Central) racked up her 12th multi-hit showing of the season, turning in a 2-for-3 day that included a home run and a double.
