Pirates look to have different outcome from the last UCF game

"Those emotions will never leave. We're just gonna use it as fuel, just like those last two games that we lost,” senior linebacker Dayon Pratt said. “So we're gonna come in with a lot of finesse and we're definitely are gonna try and take over this game."

ECU entered the fourth quarter down 26-9. Three quick touchdown passes from quarterback Shane Carden gave the Pirates the 30-26 lead with close to two minutes left. It was then that UCF quarterback Justin Holman threw up the Hail Mary to defeat the Pirates.

Dashaun Amos, now a senior defensive back, said the Pirates still remember the game two years ago, as it left a bad taste in the mouth of ECU defenders, especially Amos and Pratt who were on the field for the 50-yard heave.
