DES MOINES, Iowa – Historic Drake Fieldhouse, a site that had seen many incredible athletic feats welcomed the world's best in the shot put on Wednesday, April 26 as part of the 113th Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom.
Tripp Piperi and Maggie Ewen were crowned as the first-ever Drake Relays Shot Put Team Competition champions combining to throw 40.90m (134-2).
Ryan Crouser, the reigning World Athletics Outdoor Championships gold medalist and Olympic champion in the shot put, recorded the second and third-best world indoor throws in 2023.
Crouser has 201 marks in his career of at least 22 meters, including 31 indoors.
