DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team dropped their final match of the regular season, 6-1, to Southern Illinois Sunday afternoon in Des Moines.
Southern Illinois took the 1-0 lead with the doubles point, winning the No. 2 and No. 3 matchups. The Salukis then won the next three straight singles matchups to clinch the win.
The Bulldogs sole win on the day was at No. 1, Summer Brills, who came back in the first set after being down 3-0 to win 7-6 before defeating Ana Sofia Cordero in three sets, 7-5, 1-6, 6-4.
