Drake Volleyball went to Charleston, Illinois, this past weekend to compete in a tournament. The team came back home with two wins and one loss with match scores of 3-1, 3-0 and 1-3.
The Bulldogs opened the EIU Panther Classic with a win against Eastern Illinois.
Senior outside hitter Makena Schoene had a season-high 17 kills, on 32 attempts in the match.
“Every game has a life of it’s own,” Schoene said. “I had a struggle the past couple weekends, just getting in a rhythm with my setters and getting the feel of the team. I think that everyone was doing their jobs and hitting their spots.
