CHICAGO -- The Drake University track & field programs saw multiple student-athletes earn spots on the podium and move onto finals during day one of the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Gately Park on Sunday (Feb. 27).
won the first gold medal of the day after compiling 3,357 points in the women's pentathlon (60 hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800 meter run). That score ranks seventh in the Drake women's indoor track & field record book.
took second place in the women's 5000 meter run with a personal record of 16:37.
