Senior Sarah Grace Nicholson (Overland Park, Kan.) of the Drake University women's soccer team was named to the 2016 NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) NCAA Division I Women's All-Great Lakes Region Third Team.
In her final season, Nicholson played in 17 matches at the defender position and helped Drake's back line record a program-record 11 shutouts. Nicholson was named to the 2016 All-Missouri Valley Conference First Team for the second-consecutive season and was a two-time MVC Defensive Player of the Week award winner.
This is the first NSCAA All-Region honor for Nicholson who was recognized by the NSCAA last season for her academic success with a spot on the 2015 Women's Division I & II Scholar All-North/Central Region Second Team.
