DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's soccer team welcomes Omaha Saturday night to the Cownie Soccer Complex for a non-conference contest.
Drake (5-3-1) takes a break from Missouri Valley Conference play when the Mavericks visit Des Moines. In their last league game, the Bulldogs edged Central Arkansas, 1-0. Sophomore Leroy Enzugusi (Marion, Iowa) scored the game winner in the 36th minute and junior goalkeeper Jared Brown (Aurora, Ontario) and the defense recorded the team's third shutout this season. Brown and Enzugusi were honored by the MVC Tuesday by being named the MVC Defensive Player of the Week and the MVC Offensive Player of the Week, respectively.
