DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's basketball team will face Iona in its first game at the 2016 GCI Great Alaska Shootout as the eight-field team for the tournament was announced Friday, June 24. It will be the Bulldogs' second appearance at the GCI Great Alaska Shootout. The team finished fifth in the 2010 tournament.
The 39th edition of the GCI Great Alaska Shootout, the oldest continuously running in-season college basketball tournament, will also feature UC Davis, Weber State, Buffalo, Oakland, Nevada and the hosts, Alaska Anchorage. The Bulldogs and Gaels are set to tip off on Thursday, Nov.
