Men’s Basketball Falls In Overtime After Rallying From 20-Point Deficit

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's basketball team overcame a 20-point, second-half deficit to force overtime before falling to Fresno State, 76-78, Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Center as part of the Mountain West/Missouri Valley Conference Challenge.

A 10-1 run in the second half helped pull Drake (1-7) within striking distance late. De'Ante McMurray (Alton, Ill.) then completed a three-point play with 1:49 left followed by a pair of free throws with 56 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.

Billy Wampler (Eau Claire, Wis.) opened the overtime period with a three-pointer to give Drake lead of the game.
