Recently, Drake Athletics announced a partnership with The Brandr Group to facilitate group licensing that creates new opportunities for Drake student-athletes to profit off their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) using the school's official trademarks and logos.
The rollout of the first apparel featuring the names and numbers of Drake student-athletes has occurred with Athletes Thread selling t-shirts, sweatshirts and hooded sweatshirts of Drake men's basketball and women's basketball student-athletes.
