DES MOINES, Iowa – Creighton edged the Drake women's tennis team, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Drake (0-3) started its home opener with a 6-3 victory by (Moscow, Russia)/ (Lauderhill, Fla.) in the No. 1 doubles match. However, Creighton (1-2) rallied with wins in the No. 3 and No. 2 matches, respectively, to claim the doubles point.
The Bluejays went up 2-0 after they won the No. 6 singles match, but Petushkova and (Lodz, Poland) evened the match at 2-2 with victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 singles matches, respectively.
