Tigers Prospect Daily: Lakeland Flying Tigers score 15 runs in victory

Former Tigers starter Brad Penny held the Mud Hens in check for six innings, allowing just two runs on seven hits. He walked two and only struck out one, and was aided by a hot Knights offense that put up six hits and five runs on Toledo starter Tim Melville. The 25-year-old righthander suffered his fourth loss of the season as his ERA ballooned to 5.93. The bullpen wasn't much better, as Melvin Mercedes and Kenny Faulk combined to allow three runs in four innings. Josh Zeid finished the night with a scoreless frame.
