Kansas City, Mo. — Tigers executive vice president of baseball operations and general manager Al Avila has his front office staff in place — and it’s essentially the same staff that was here under Dave Dombrowski.
Avila announced Tuesday that scout Dave Littlefield was promoted to vice president of player development. Dick Egan remains special assistant to Avila and Scott Reid, former vice president of player personnel, is now a senior adviser to Avila.
Additionally, Scott Pleis, director of amateur scouting, Tom Moore, director of international operations, Miguel Garcia, director of Latin American scouting and Dan Lunetta, director of minor league operations, will all continue their current roles.
