The Tigers got a hit, but nothing else in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Victor Martinez led off the half inning with a line drive single to right field, over the shift. Nicholas Castellanos then grounded into a 5-4-3 double play to empty the bases. Mikie Mahtook then grounded out to third to end the inning.
After seven, the Tigers are still behind 5-2.
