Warwick Saupold threw a 1-2-3 top of the sixth inning for the Tigers.
Jorge Soler grounded out to third base to lead off the inning. Nicholas Castellanos made a poor throw to first base, but Miguel Cabrera made up for it with a good tag to get the out. Alcides Escobar then popped out to second base for the second out. Alex Gordon grounded out to Saupold to end the quick inning.
Going to the bottom of the sixth, the Tigers still trail 5-1.
