The Chiefs notched a pair of runs in the first two innings and scored four off of Mud Hens starter Thad Weber to even their series against Toledo. Syracuse was led by Nationals’ top prospect Trea Turner and former Tiger Steve Lombardozzi, as the two combined for five hits and three runs scored. Toledo mounted a late comeback, scoring four runs in the final two frames, but Dean Green struck out looking with a runner on to end the game. Dixon Machado and John Hicks had two hits apiece for the Mud Hens.
