What happened: The Detroit Tigers beat the Atlanta Braves, 3-2, on a JaCoby Jones single in the bottom of the 10th inning of this exhibition. Dixon Machado scored.

Starting off: Lefty Matt Boyd continued to make the case that he deserves to be the Tigers' No. 5 starter. He allowed three hits over five scoreless innings, with five strikeouts. Boyd has 21 strikeouts and no walks over 21 2/3 innings this spring. He threw 60 pitches today, 47 for strikes.

At the plate: Alex Presley hit a ground-rule double to left-center scored on a double to center by Brendan Ryan in the third.
