Detroit Tigers 3, Chicago White Sox 3: Game suspended for rain

A night filled with oddities and delays, ended with another one Saturday night. A 3-3 game was postponed after the skies opened up in the bottom of the 8th inning. The initial delay for rain was the third of the game, but with forecasts predicting several more hours of rain until at least 2:00am EST, the decision was made to suspend play.

The contest will resume tomorrow at 2:10 EST. The final game of the four-game series between the Tigers and White Sox will begin following the conclusion of Saturday night’s tie game. Anibal Sanchez will oppose White Sox ace Jose Quintana in that one.
