There still are a few weeks left in the 2016 season, and the Detroit Tigers, who stand two games out of the second American League wild-card spot, certainly aren't thinking about next year yet.
But Major League Baseball is.
The 2017 MLB schedule came out today, and the the Tigers will open the season at the Chicago White Sox on April 3. After that three-game series, the Tigers open their home schedule April 7 against the Boston Red Sox.
