LAKELAND, Fla. -- James McCann and his wife Jessica knew their twins would arrive before her Feb. 11 due date.
But they came even earlier than expected.
"My wife was hospitalized on the fourth of December and we fully expected her to be in there for at least two weeks," McCann said. "The next morning they came in and did the monitoring and shortly thereafter the doctor said you have a C-section tomorrow at 9 a.m."
Christian Thomas McCann and Kane Timothy McCann spent the next seven weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where the McCanns had moved just weeks earlier.
