Seventh-inning update: White Sox 12, Tigers 2

DETROIT -- Anibal Sanchez didn't have his stuff for a second straight game and the Chicago White Sox chased him after 3 1/3 innings Saturday.

The right-handed starter allowed nine runs on nine hits as the Tigers trailed 12-2 after six innings at Comerica Park.

Chicago (3-6) scored four runs in the third on a Jose Abreu single and three-run home run by Adam LaRoche, then exploded for seven more in the fourth, capped by an Abreu grand slam.

Sanchez threw 80 pitches but, aside from a 1-2-3 inning in the second, never looked comfortable out there on the mound.
