ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- This might've been Rajai Davis' best prank yet.
With the trade deadline just four days away, Davis caused a small ruckus Monday when he began following nearly two dozen Cardinals-related Twitter accounts.
Whether Davis intended to follow current and former Cardinals players on Twitter remains unclear, but it led to speculation that Davis, who has been mired in trade rumors this month, might've been dealt by the Detroit Tigers to St. Louis.
But he wasn't. At least, not Monday.
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus and general manager Dave Dombrowski both debunked the rumor that Davis, who is widely viewed as one of the team's biggest jokers, was involved in trade conversations with the Cardinals.
