Friday’s lineups: Tigers at Blue Jays

If Miguel Cabrera gets five plate appearances tonight, he’ll officially return to the AL batting race, getting back on the 3.1 plate appearances per game pace needed to qualify. If he doesn’t get it tonight, he’ll most likely get it tomorrow afternoon. It’s not a big deal to him at this point, obviously, but with about a 42-point lead on the next-best AL hitter (Jason Kipnis), it’ll put him on pace for his fourth batting title in five years.

The Jays load up on right-handed hitters, save for Ben Revere and Ryan Goins. That’s going to present a challenge for Matt Boyd, who’s allowing a .
