Detroit Tigers win another pitcher’s duel, 2-1, against White Sox

In the first week of the season, the Detroit Tigers confirmed they could outscore the opposition.

Now in the second week, the Tigers are proving they can beat teams with pitching and timely hitting from the most unusually players.

Ace pitcher David Price threw another gem, pitching eight innings and allowing just one run on four hits, and shortstop Jose Iglesias went 2-for-4 with the game-winning RBI-single in the ninth as the Tigers beat the White Sox, 2-1, on Friday.

Detroit broke a, 1-1, tie with a run in the bottom of the ninth to win the ballgame.
