The Grand Rapids Griffins start their best-of-seven, second-round series against the Chicago Wolves Wednesday. In 10 regular-season meetings, the Griffins went 8-2, winning four times each at home and on the road. The teams were in a tight divisional race down the stretch, with Chicago taking first place by one point.
The Griffins clinched their first-round series with a victory Wednesday night at Milwaukee. Goaltender Jared Coreau, whose stint with the Wings from December to March included two shutouts, made 41 saves in the 3-2 overtime victory.
