Detroit Red Wings News: Wings Sign Eric Tangradi

As reported on NHL.com, former Canadiens left wing Eric Tangradi has joined the Detroit Red Wings on a one-year contract. The details of the deal have not been disclosed. Tangradi will be playing for the Red Wings AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins.

The 26-year-old only made seven appearances for the Habs last season, tallying zero goals and zero assists. Tangradi was traded to Montreal after two seasons at the Winnipeg Jets, in exchange for Peter Budaj and Patrick Holland.

Tangradi played 91 games over two seasons at Winnipeg, proving himself a capable fourth-liner.
