A Total team effort helps Detroit topple Tampa.
Here’s What Happened:
In a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, the Detroit Red Wings faced their divisional rival, the Tampa Bay Lightning. After losing to Tampa in seven games last postseason the Red Wings looked to extract some revenge against the Lightning.
Tonight’s game may have not started out in the dramatic fashion that some may have expected but it ended in a thrilling victory. Detroit weathered an aggressive start from the Lightning but took control of the game a little after the midway point of the contest.
