Detroit 4, Edm. 3 (OT): Kronwall makes up for blown leads

The lesson keeps repeating itself: Letting a team hang around is dangerous.

Niklas Kronwall rescued the night 26 seconds into overtime when he scored to lift the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-3 victory over the Edmonton Oilers at Joe Louis Arena, giving the Wings points in six straight games.

Gustav Nyquist and Tomas Tatar each scored their eighth goals of the season, and assisted on one another's goals. Dylan Larkin contributed his ninth goal.

Coach Jeff Blashill had talked before the game about the Wings needing to show more of a killer instinct, after relinquishing leads three times over the past 10 days.
