St. Louis – Justin Abdelkader picked a good arena to make his return to the Red Wings lineup.
The Scottrade Center in St. Louis has provided some good moments for Abdelkader, who scored the game-winning goal here in Michigan State’s 3-1 win over Boston College in the 2007 NCAA championship game.
“It’s always nice to come back for sure,” said Abdelkader after Thursday’s morning skate, where the Red Wings prepared for the St. Louis Blues. “Extra special.
“It’s always good to come back to this building. This is where we won our national championship. I have pretty good memories here and enjoy playing here.
