DETROIT - The Detroit Red Wings ordinarily would be thrilled to go into Tampa Bay and split the first two games of a playoff series.
But they're not satisfied with their overall performance.
"We think we're a lot better team than we've shown thus far," coach Mike Babcock said Monday.
He added, "I don't think we're skating good enough and I don't think we're competing hard enough."
That must change as the first-round series shifts to Joe Louis Arena for Games 3 and 4 Tuesday and Thursday.
"The thing I would say when you evaluate our team, we have a lot more to give," Babcock said.
