In an already shocking offseason, perhaps nothing was more shocking than the bomb dropped Friday afternoon when it was revealed that Kyrie Irving had requested a trade from Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Irving wants to “be more of a focal point and that he no longer wants to play alongside LeBron James.”
Suffice it to say, a clear cut trade request and unfettered access to the NBA Trade Machine is a dangerous thing for a thirsty NBA fan base.
And nobody seems to be thirstier than Pistons fans who are fed up with big man Andre Drummond and point guard Reggie Jackson, and just want to see something, anything changed.
