Pistons vs. Magic final score: Despite run down stretch, Pistons can’t close gap, lose 98-92

It was a solid season debut for Reggie Jackson with 18 points and 4 assists, but not enough to carry the Pistons to the win.

The Pistons had been on a roll, winning five of their past six. It looked like that trend should continue with the lowly Orlando Magic coming to town and the Pistons getting starting point guard Reggie Jackson back from injury. After all, the Pistons were 7-2 at home.

But the Pistons dropped back to .500 and those lowly Magic now aren’t really that far behind them in the standings.

The Detroit offense had been clicking during their winning streak, and it looked to be continuing early on.
