On Tuesday night Detroit Pistons’ legend Chauncey Billups appeared on the Vertical podcast with Adrian Wojnarowski and engaged in wide-ranging conversation. They opened the discussion talking about Billups’ turning down the offer to be Frank Vogel’s top assistant with the Orlando Magic.
Billups and Vogel have a relationship that goes back to Billups’ early NBA days in Boston, so it made sense that there would be a potential matching on the Magic bench with Vogel, but Billups opted to decline.
They also discussed Kevin Durant‘s decision to join the Golden State Warriors, and how very different the Pistons’ dynasty of the 2000’s were from the super-teams of today.
