Three quick observations from Wednesday night’s 103-92 loss to the Denver Nuggets

SLAM DUNK – On the night the Pistons retired Chauncey Billups’ jersey with many of his teammates – including the four starters inexorably linked to him – there to toast him, the Pistons had to be tempted to issue uniforms to all. Missing three starters due to injury or illness, the Pistons led narrowly for most of the first half and trailed just as narrowly for most of the second but couldn’t find their passing gear with only nine players in uniform and available to play for the All-Star break getaway game.
