Former Pistons forward Luigi “Gigi” Datome will be leaving the NBA for Fenerbahce of the Turkish League according to Sportando.com.
Datome later confirmed the move via a statement on his Facebook page:
At the end of my 2 years in the NBA my targets for the Free Agency were:
To play at the highest level of basketball and to fight for important results while being a real piece of the team as far as contribution and role in the rotation.
I want to thank all the Nba teams that offered me a spot on the roster but as I said many times I was looking for a place where I could be an important piece of the rotations.
