Two popular Detroit radio hosts were sent to jail Thursday and ordered to pay the balance of an outstanding loan for a New Year’s Eve party the pair hosted in 2008.

Court records say Angie Starr and John Mason from 105.9 Kiss-FM (WDMK) were held in contempt of court because they failed to comply with a subpoena for a creditor’s examination.

Circuit Court Judge Daphne Means Curtis ordered them to the Wayne County Jail until they could pay the remaining debt of $4,126. The judgment was $10,085, which included the loan, interest and attorney fees.

Reports say Starr and Mason were both on air Friday morning.
